The Sacrifices, Decoded

Three sacrifices, three very different ledgers — and one thread running through them.  Everything below is measured from the chain, and every line says which kind of knowing it is.

The Word

A Sacrifice is the distribution method this ecosystem used instead of any kind of token sale: participants sent crypto during a window, the sending was framed as a political donation with no expectation of profit, and a token allocation later appeared for the addresses that took part.  The concept has its own glossary entry, and the beginner framing lives on What Is Crypto.  This page asks a narrower question: what does the chain itself record about each one?

Three Sacrifices, Three Ledgers

The three sacrifices are not equally knowable, and the difference is structural.  PLS is a native coin — its allocation was written into PulseChain’s genesis state, so there are no mint logs to replay and no census is possible, only readings of who holds what today.  PLSX is a token — its entire mint is on the ledger, event by event, so the PulseX sacrifice supports a complete census.  ProveX left records on two chains: the deposits on Ethereum, the token mint on PulseChain.  What can be proven about each sacrifice is set by what kind of ledger it left behind.

The PulseChain Sacrifice (Jul–Aug 2021)

Because the allocation lives in state, the honest census is a state reading.  Measured 2026-07-28 from the explorer’s ranked accounts: the top 300 PLS holders carry 126.37T PLS between them.  Fifteen of those top 300 were, provably, paid HEX by the HEX Origin Address years earlier on Ethereum — together they hold 20.14T PLS.  Following the suspected origin set forward instead traces roughly 84% of PLS out of circulation, which corroborates the community tracker’s long-assumed figure to within 2.8% — worth knowing because that tracker’s number is a hardcoded constant, not a measurement.

What this sacrifice does not support is a mint census — and that limit is stated on the diagram as a dashed line.  The claim that the Origin Address entered this sacrifice heavily is suspected, not proven: the sacrifice receiving addresses have never been scanned against the known clusters, and until they are, that line stays dashed.

The PulseX Sacrifice (late 2021 – Feb 2022)

This one the chain records completely.  PLSX’s whole supply was minted in the 60,000 blocks after deploy: 146,647 recipient addresses, and nothing allocated outside that window.  Concentration was extreme — 90% of the mint went to 179 addresses, 0.12% of recipients — though one honesty note travels with that figure: the set was defined by walking the ranking until 90% accumulated, so “90% in 179” describes the cutoff, not a discovery.

The proven part is stronger and stranger: 161 of those 179 addresses had been paid HEX by the HEX Origin Address — the address hardcoded in the HEX contract’s own bytecode — in 2019–2020, on a different chain.  Two scans sharing no inputs (HEX transfers on Ethereum, PLSX mints on PulseChain) land on the same addresses.  A shared funder is not proof of a single controller, and this site never claims it is; it is, however, a measured bridge between the two ecosystems’ origin stories.

What it means for holders today, measured bottom-up in 2026: users hold 10.5674% of PLSX — about $124.56M at measurement — with the rest sitting on the origin side or genuinely unable to move at all; the accounting reconciles to zero wei.  The float itself is broadly spread: it takes 1,000 addresses to reach half of it.  And the durable myth has a measured correction: origin-side sales exist — six of the 179 have sold, 0.2913% of supply — so “the origin addresses never sell” is directionally right and absolutely wrong.

The ProveX Sacrifice (60 days, ended Jan 2026)

The newest sacrifice is the most forensically interesting, because its evidence spans two chains.  On Ethereum, the deposit flow reconstructs from the balance curve alone: 4,358 depositors sent 122,140.79 ETH.  Of them, 961 addresses — 22% of the depositors but 98.74% of the money — provably received their funds from Tornado Cash withdrawals before their first deposit, all 961 of them.  The route is proven to the block; whose money rode it is unknowable by construction, and both halves of that sentence matter equally.

On PulseChain, the entire 1.2727T PRVX supply was minted in a single event to one address that then paid 7,465 destinations — a distribution, not a wallet split, and a materially different structure from PLSX’s 179-address mint spread.  Clustering those recipients by the exact amount received finds the Sybil signature: 947 addresses inside groups credited wei-identical amounts — one group of 104 wallets each received precisely 764,811,868.77 PRVX.  A pro-rata payout is unique to each participant at 18 decimals; identical figures can only be copied.  An independent analyst, working from Ethereum-side evidence this measurement never touched, alleged “more than 950 addresses.”  Two methods, no shared inputs, three addresses apart.

The Origin Thread

One anchor makes all of this checkable: the HEX Origin Address is not a rumor but a constant — its twenty bytes sit in the deployed HEX contract’s bytecode, verifiable by anyone.  From that anchor, a Forward Trace follows the money the direction proof flows: the Origin Address paid HEX to 2,746 addresses that took 90% of the eHEX mint; 161 of the 179 top PulseX-sacrifice addresses appear among the paid; and yet the clusters split on PLS — only one of the 179 appears in the top 300 PLS holders, while fifteen members of the older HEX cluster do.  The same money did not simply march through all three sacrifices; the structure is messier than any one-controller story, and the honest map keeps the mess.

What Is Proven, and What Is Not

Every claim above carries one of four grades, and the difference is the whole page:

And one rule outranks every finding: no name is ever attached to an address.  The chain shows patterns — coordination, timing, concentration.  It does not show identity, and this site does not pretend it does.

Still Open

Three questions would move lines on the diagram, and they are stated here so nobody mistakes silence for settledness.  Scanning the PulseChain sacrifice’s receiving addresses against the known clusters would turn the dashed line solid — or cut it.  Reproducing the 2021 community auditor’s five-part behavioural profile on fresh chain reads would test the oldest OA account against today’s data.  And the claimed 2025 mega-stake of the Origin Address remains unverified — the address itself emitted nothing in the claimed window, and the wider check hit a result cap before completing.

How these numbers were made.  Every figure is a dated, re-runnable chain measurement: the PLSX census replays every mint event (146,647 recipients, 2026-07-28); the float is enumerated bottom-up per holder and reconciles twice to zero wei (2026-08-09); the payment bridge intersects HEX transfer logs on Ethereum with PLSX mint logs on PulseChain (161/179, spot-checked 4 of 4); the ProveX work recovers depositors from the balance curve, intersects them with Tornado withdrawal recipients (961/961 timing-proven), and clusters recipients by exact wei (947).  One-off studies, not daily feeds — each carries its measurement date, and anything that changed since changed after these readings.
