Piteas DEX Aggregator

Piteas (app.piteas.io) is a DEX aggregator on PulseChain: for each swap it searches the pools of several PulseChain exchanges (PulseX, 9inch, 9mm, Phux and others) and shows the route it chose.  It swaps PLS and PRC-20 tokens on PulseChain.

Important Security Note: app.piteas.io is the only official Piteas interface (Piteas's own wording); piteas.io is its information site and docs.piteas.io its documentation.  Phishing copies use look-alike domains, and the browser's address bar shows which domain is open.

Prepare Your Wallet

Use a wallet that supports PulseChain (chain ID 369), such as MetaMask, Rabby Wallet, Internet Money Wallet, OKX Wallet or Trust Wallet.  A mobile wallet connects over WalletConnect only if it supports PulseChain.

Add/switch to the PulseChain network (if not already added):

  • Network Name: PulseChain
  • RPC URL: https://rpc.pulsechain.com
  • Chain ID: 369
  • Currency Symbol: PLS
  • Block Explorer URL: https://ipfs.scan.pulsechain.com

Ensure you have some PLS (for gas fees) and the tokens you want to swap.

Connect Your Wallet

  • Click the Connect Wallet button (usually prominent on the page).
  • Select your wallet from the list of options (MetaMask, Rabby, Internet Money, etc.).
  • If using WalletConnect, scan the QR code with your mobile wallet.
  • Approve the connection request in your wallet.
  • Once connected, your wallet address should appear on the site, and you'll see your balances.

Perform a Swap (Trade)

On the main Swap page:

  • The Swap panel has two boxes and no From/To labels: the top box is the token sold, the bottom box the token received.  On a fresh load the top box holds PLS and the bottom box holds PTS (Piteas's own token); an amount entered without changing them quotes a PLS-to-PTS swap.  Clicking a token opens "Select a token" (search by name or paste an address); the "Paste CA" button above the boxes pastes a contract address into the bottom box.
  • Piteas finds the route automatically and refreshes it each block; the route icon between the refresh arrow and the share icon (its hover label is Show Route) opens a panel showing the route it found.
  • Review the quote: expected output amount, price impact and slippage tolerance.  The only fee line in the quote is the estimated gas fee.  By Piteas's documentation, any Piteas fee is a share of the improvement over the next-best route and is already inside the quoted amount; standard routes usually carry none, and Piteas also keeps any positive slippage (Piteas docs).
  • Price impact is how far this one trade moves the pool's price: the larger it is, the fewer tokens come back for the amount sold.  The quote shows it in yellow above 1% and in red above 15%.  Above 15% the Swap button reads "Swap Anyway"; at 15% or more a browser box asks for a click-through, and at 30% or more for the typed word "confirm".
  • Slippage is set behind the gear icon above the boxes, under "Max slippage"; Piteas defaults to Auto.  A higher tolerance lets a volatile trade go through but lowers the minimum received and, in Piteas's own warning, can expose the swap to front-running; a lower one can make the transaction fail.  The same panel holds a "Custom Receiver" switch: when it is on, the swap page asks for a receiver address and the swap's tokens go to that address instead of the connected wallet.
  • Click Swap.  A "Review swap" window opens.
  • The "Review swap" window shows a security-check line.  The check compares the transaction Piteas built with the swap requested (input token, output token, input amount and receiver) and checks that a minimum output is set.  "Security check passed" means all of them match.  "1 security issue detected" (or more) locks the Approve and Confirm swap buttons; clicking the line lists the checks and shows which one differs, with an "I understand the risks, unlock swap" button beneath.  After unlocking, the swap goes through as built: a different receiver or output token is where the tokens go.  If the price moves while the window is open, a "Price updated" line with an Accept button takes the place of the Approve and Confirm swap buttons until Accept is clicked.
  • The first sale of a PRC-20 token through Piteas (PLS itself needs none) needs a token approval before the swap.  The large Approve button grants Piteas an unlimited allowance for that token, and the allowance stays after the visit.  The smaller link under it, "or approve only [amount] [token] instead", limits the allowance to this swap, so the next sale asks for approval again.  Either one is a separate wallet transaction paid in PLS.
  • Click "Confirm swap" and confirm the transaction in the wallet.  Confirmation on PulseChain is usually fast and low-cost.

Additional Features

  • Tokens Page: Visit app.piteas.io/tokens/pulsechain to browse tokens, view prices/charts, and manage them.
  • Buy Crypto Page: app.piteas.io/buy embeds RampNow (buy PLS with fiat) and ChangeNOW (exchange ETH to PLS), both third-party services.
  • Account Panel: Clicking the connected address shows the wallet's total PLS balance, a View Portfolio button that opens the address on plsfolio.com (a separate site), and an Activity list of the swaps made through Piteas in this browser on this device.  The Activity list is stored in the browser, so another device or a cleared browser shows none.

Easy Way to Add Tokens to Your Wallet

Piteas makes token management simple through its dedicated Tokens page (app.piteas.io/tokens/pulsechain):

  • Search or browse the list of tokens on PulseChain, then click a token to open its own page, where the controls below are.  Copy Address, Add to Wallet and View on Explorer also sit in the token menu beside a picked token in the swap panel.
  • "Add to Wallet" button β€” One-click addition to supported wallets like MetaMask (automatically detects symbol, decimals, and logo).
  • "Copy Address" β€” Copies the contract address of the token opened.  Piteas's list is a convenience, not a registry of official addresses: one ticker can belong to several contracts, and the list carries more than one token with the ticker HEX.
  • "View on Explorer" β€” Opens the token's contract on otter.pulsechain.com (Otterscan, a PulseChain explorer); holder lists and token transfers are on the PulseChain explorer at ipfs.scan.pulsechain.com.

The Tokens page saves typing a contract address, but the address it copies belongs to whichever row was picked.  Genuine ACTR and HTT addresses are listed in the Manual's Appendix A and on docs.actuator.finance/contracts; neither lists every HTT series, and a genuine HTT of any series is one created by the HEXTimeTokenManager (How to Buy Your First HTT shows that check).

Pro Tips

  • By Piteas's documentation, the next-best offer its fee is measured against comes from a second route search that is expected to match at least the best single-DEX offer; exotic routes or unusual transaction types can carry a capped fee, and the average fee across 2.8 million swaps was 0.12% as of September 2025 (Piteas docs).  Quoting the same swap on PulseX shows the difference for that trade.
  • An outdated wallet misses its maker's security fixes, and a signed approval lets the contract it names move the approved token, up to the approved amount, whether or not the approval screen was read.
  • The Internet Money Wallet guide covers one PulseChain-native wallet that connects to Piteas.
