Bridging from Ethereum
The official PulseChain bridge supports transferring assets like USDC, DAI, ETH, eHEX, and WBTC from Ethereum to PulseChain (and vice versa). It charges no bridge fee from Ethereum to PulseChain (0.3% on the way back).
Key Details
| Supported Tokens | USDC, DAI, ETH/WETH, eHEX, WBTC, and others |
| Direction | Two-way (Ethereum ↔ PulseChain) |
| Time | Typically 14–19 minutes, about 17 in the middle (measured over the week to 2026-10-19); the bridge first waits 65 Ethereum blocks, about 13 minutes. On 2026-10-14 a PulseChain gas spike stretched some crossings past 8 hours. Live times are in Bridge Health on Bridges. |
| Fees | No bridge fee from Ethereum to PulseChain; 0.3% from PulseChain to Ethereum (contract values, 2026-09-23). Ethereum gas: with the app’s default settings, Ethereum → PulseChain takes two transactions per USDC or DAI crossing (authorize, then send) and one for ETH; the return trip adds a claim transaction on Ethereum. PulseChain gas is very low-cost. |
| Limits | A minimum of 0.018 of the token per crossing (0.018 ETH for ETH, 0.018 WBTC for WBTC), except WPLS, which crosses through its own bridge contract with a minimum of 50,000 WPLS; maximums are 500 billion per crossing and 1 trillion a day in token units, so no practical cap (contract values, 2026-10-19). |
| Security | Official bridge (OmniBridge design): each crossing is signed by 5 of 8 bridge validators, and the bridge contracts on both chains can be upgraded by admin addresses that are not deployed contracts (read on chain 2026-09-23). The app opens from pulsechain.com → bridge.pulsechain.com → Launch PulseChain Bridge, at bridge.mypinata.cloud. |
Bridging eHEX to stake it? eHEX bridged from Ethereum arrives on PulseChain as a separate wrapped token named “HEX from Ethereum”, which cannot be staked natively or made into an HSI, and so cannot back Actuator HTTs. To stake on PulseChain, bridge a stablecoin or ETH instead and swap it for native HEX once you arrive (the swap step below). Native HEX on PulseChain shares its address with eHEX (0x2b591e99afE9f32eAA6214f7B7629768c40Eeb39) but is a distinct token with its own price. Both tokens show the symbol HEX in a wallet; the bridged one is named “HEX from Ethereum” (0x57fde0a71132198BBeC939B98976993d8D89D225). The contract address settles which is which.
Gas on arrival. Every step on PulseChain, including the swap step below, is paid in PLS, and a wallet holding no PLS cannot pay for its first transaction. The bridge app says users without PLS “often receive free PLS for gas when bridging to PulseChain”; the gift does not come from the bridge contract, and nothing on chain guarantees it. An Ethereum address that held ETH at Ethereum block 17,232,999 (2023-05-10), the state PulseChain copied, received the same amount of PLS at the fork. WPLS bridged from Ethereum arrives as native PLS while the app’s “Receive PLS” switch is on (its default); otherwise it arrives as the WPLS token, and unwrapping that token needs PLS. The bridge takes at least 50,000 WPLS per crossing, and WPLS on Ethereum trades mainly in one Uniswap V3 WPLS/WETH pool.
Where the bridge runs: bridge.pulsechain.com is a launcher. Its “Launch PulseChain Bridge” image, like the ipfs.bridge.pulsechain.com link on pulsechain.com, opens the official app at bridge.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/… (a Pinata gateway, not pulsechain.com). The code after /ipfs/ changes with each release (current release v1.1.5, checked 2026-09-23). The launcher also offers desktop downloads and lists one community site, tokensex.link (shown there as “Token Express”). Look-alike domains that swap or double a letter of bridge.pulsechain.com exist.
Prepare Your Wallet and Networks
- Use MetaMask (or compatible wallet like Rabby).
- Add the PulseChain network if not already present (Chain ID: 369, RPC URL and details on pulsechain.com).
- Ensure you have ETH on Ethereum for gas fees.
- Have USDC or DAI in your Ethereum wallet.
Go to the Bridge
- Visit bridge.pulsechain.com (linked from pulsechain.com). The page is a launcher, not the app: its “Launch PulseChain Bridge” image opens the bridge app on an IPFS gateway at bridge.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/….
- In the bridge app, connect your wallet and set it to the Ethereum network.
Select the Transfer
- Choose Ethereum as the source network.
- Select PulseChain as the destination.
- Pick the token: USDC or DAI.
- Enter the amount you want to bridge.
Approve and Confirm
- Each USDC or DAI crossing starts with an authorization (the button reads “Authorize Bridge to access 100 USDC”, with your amount): a separate Ethereum transaction, paid in ETH, that lets the bridge take exactly the amount being sent. The settings cog offers “Infinite Unlock”, which authorizes an unlimited amount once; an unlimited allowance stays open until revoked. Bridging ETH needs no authorization.
- Review the details (amount, estimated fee, time).
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet (the transaction locks the tokens in the bridge’s Ethereum contract and starts the crossing).
Wait for Completion
- Monitor the transaction status on the bridge interface (look for "Transactions" or status section).
- The process involves Ethereum confirmation + relay to PulseChain.
Receive on PulseChain
- Switch your wallet network to PulseChain.
- Bridged tokens arrive as “USD Coin from Ethereum” (USDC,
0x15D38573d2feeb82e7ad5187aB8c1D52810B1f07), “Dai Stablecoin from Ethereum” (DAI,0xefD766cCb38EaF1dfd701853BFCe31359239F305) and, for ETH, “Wrapped Ether from Ethereum” (WETH,0x02DcdD04e3F455D838cd1249292C58f3B79e3C3C), a token rather than spendable ETH; WBTC arrives as “Wrapped BTC from Ethereum” (WBTC,0xb17D901469B9208B17d916112988A3FeD19b5cA1). If the balance does not show, the MetaMask fox icon beside the amount on the bridge app’s Transactions page adds the token to a MetaMask-compatible wallet, or the wallet can import it by that address. - PulseChain also carries copied USDC, DAI, WETH and WBTC at their Ethereum addresses, under the same symbols and worth a fraction of a cent. The full token name on ipfs.scan.pulsechain.com tells them apart.
Post-Bridge Actions (Optional)
- Go to PulseX DEX (app.pulsex.com is PulseX’s launcher page; its “Click image to launch PulseX” image opens the exchange) or another PulseChain DEX.
- Swap bridged USDC, DAI or WETH for native PLS, PLSX, HEX, or other tokens.
- The Liquidity check under Important Tips and Warnings covers large swaps.
Important Tips and Warnings
- Liquidity check: A pool with little liquidity moves the price against a large swap; DexScreener shows how deep each PulseChain pool for the bridged token is.
- Gas and timing: Ethereum gas sets the cost of the Ethereum-side transactions (the authorization, the send and, on the way back, the claim), not the crossing time. On 2026-10-08 Ethereum gas reached 6 gwei without slowing the bridge, and the one slow spell in the 30 days to 2026-10-16 came on 2026-10-14 with a PulseChain gas spike, when single crossings waited up to about 9 hours.
- Reversing the bridge: Select PulseChain as the source and Ethereum as the destination. This direction charges a 0.3% bridge fee. After the bridge validators sign, the app asks for a switch to Ethereum and a click on Claim Tokens: a separate transaction, paid in ETH on Ethereum. A wallet with no ETH on Ethereum cannot send the claim until it holds some.
- RPC errors: If the bridge shows an RPC error, open the settings (the cog wheel) and set your own custom RPC endpoint for the failing chain — for the PulseChain side, any healthy gateway on the RPC health board works. Since v1.1.5 (Aug 2026) the bridge also carries seven backup Ethereum endpoints of its own (RPC failover), and its release announcement asks that already-open sessions be reopened after an update.
- Risks: Each crossing is released when 5 of the bridge’s 8 validators sign it. The Ethereum contracts that hold every locked token can have their code replaced by an admin address that is not a deployed contract, and owner addresses, also not contracts, set the limits and, on the PulseChain side, the fee (read on chain 2026-09-23). A shared Seed Phrase is shared funds.
- Alternatives: Liberty Swap (see the Liberty Swap guide), Rubic, and the other doors compared on Bridges. The official bridge charges no fee from Ethereum to PulseChain.
